Terms of Service

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the SkillSphere student team ("we", "us"). By registering an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian is aware of your use of this platform.

SkillSphere is a non-commercial educational platform built by Class XI students at Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon as part of Vasudha 2026. The platform is provided free of charge and is intended solely for educational and skill-development purposes. It is not a registered company, startup, or commercial product.

• The platform is open to students of any age, school, or college globally
• You must provide accurate information during registration
• You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent
• You may not create multiple accounts for the same person

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information on your profile
• Impersonate any other person or entity
• Use the platform for any commercial solicitation or advertising
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the platform's servers or databases
• Upload harmful, offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content
• Scrape, copy, or harvest user data from the platform
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable Indian law

You retain ownership of all content you post on SkillSphere (profile information, project descriptions, skills). By posting content, you grant SkillSphere a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content to other users of the platform for the purpose of operating the skill discovery and collaboration features.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you post. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

The SkillSphere Contribution Hub links to public GitHub repositories under the skillsphere-oss organisation. Any code you contribute to these repositories is subject to the licence of the respective repository (typically MIT). Contribution records on your SkillSphere profile are for display purposes only and do not constitute formal employment, internship, or certification.

The SkillSphere name, logo, design, and platform code are the intellectual property of the SkillSphere student team. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without explicit written permission.

SkillSphere is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. As a student project, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular purpose. Use the platform at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, the SkillSphere student team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed zero rupees, as the platform is provided entirely free of charge.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at aarav.singhal.ji@gmail.com.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, specifically the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
